“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
— Nelson Mandela
As a leader, how does this resonate with where you are right now?
Let’s pause together—fully and intentionally.
Set aside the urgency of your to-do list.
Unplug. Plant your feet. Close your eyes if it’s safe to do so.
Take a breath in through the nose...Hold it...Now exhale slowly through the mouth...
Again—inhale...Exhale…One more breath—deep and grounded...Let your nervous system soften.
Be here. Be present.
As a Professional Certified Coach, I’ve witnessed this moment in history fundamentally reshape not only how we lead, but how we relate to ourselves, our people, and our purpose.
We talk about post-traumatic growth—but are you making time to reflect on your growth?
Consider these open-ended inquiries designed to disrupt autopilot thinking and invite deeper alignment:
What did the forced stillness of the pandemic teach you that achievement culture never could?
What outdated leadership habits or beliefs no longer serve the future you're creating?
When was the last time you redefined success—not for optics, but for impact?
Where are you ignoring your intuition because you feel pressure to perform?
How might burnout be asking you to evolve—not just recover?
The world has changed. You have changed. And yet, so many high performers are still trying to lead from a pre-2020 mindset.
Now is the time to reeducate—not just intellectually, but emotionally and somatically. Recalibrate your inner compass. Reintegrate the wisdom you’ve gained.
Reflect on this:
What boundaries did you begin setting during the shutdown that you’ve since abandoned?
What rhythms brought you peace or clarity—are you honoring them today?
What conversations do you need to initiate that you’ve been avoiding?
Leadership today demands more congruence, not just more output.
So I’ll leave you with this:
What are you truly willing to change in order to sustain the future you want to lead?
Be intentional... Model wholeness... Give others permission to do the same...
You got this!

Fantastic post. Certainly made me reflect on the changes that I made when I was forced versus what I willingly sacrifice. I definitely see room to modify my behaviors again. Thank you for the insight.
Excellent articles that make you pause, reflect and take meaningful steps to chart a more positive future!
