FREEDOM FRIDAY | FAITH & MOMENTUM
“Hope is not simply believing that things will get better. It is believing that your actions can help make them better.”
-Coach Tavia
Are You a Momentum Maker?
Sometimes we keep pushing because we believe more effort must eventually produce a different result.
But what if the wall in front of you isn’t asking you to push harder?
What if it is inviting you to pause, become curious, and see differently?
As Iyanla Vanzant reminds us in Until Today, fear can create walls. Faith can help us move beyond them.
And sometimes faith looks like:
Pause.
Reflect.
Release.
Reframe.
Then move.
From a coaching perspective, momentum isn’t about constant motion. It is intentional movement toward what matters.
Research on hope supports this idea: meaningful progress involves both the belief that we can act and the ability to identify pathways forward. (PubMed)
And workplace research suggests that even small wins can create meaningful momentum, engagement, and motivation. (Harvard Business Review)
So, as you close another demanding week, consider:
Where might fear be creating a wall that faith could help you see differently?
What are you continuing to push against that may require a new perspective rather than more force?
What is one small, purposeful action you can take next to create forward progress?
For Leaders & Teams: Ask your team:
“What would become possible if we focused less on what is blocking us—and more on the next meaningful move we can make together?”
-You don’t have to see the entire path to take the next step.
-You don’t have to have all the answers to begin creating momentum.
-And you don’t have to move alone.
Faith gives you permission to believe.
Awareness gives you perspective.
Action creates momentum.
You got this! Go create the next meaningful move.
Your next step may not change everything—but it can change your direction.
