Freedom Friday | Purpose Driven Leadership
“The secret of success is constancy to purpose.” — Benjamin Disraeli
How do those words resonate with you today?
Before you scroll any further, pause for a moment.
-Take a deep breath in…Exhale slowly…
-Again…Breathe in clarity. Release tension...
-One more time…
-Breathe in clarity. Release tension.
Become present.
In a world filled with noise, uncertainty, competing priorities, political division, and economic pressure, many leaders are asking themselves:
What are we really working toward?
You may feel like you are spinning your wheels, working overtime, giving everything you have — yet still wondering whether your efforts are aligned with something meaningful.
This may not be the time to give up. This may be the time to reconnect to your purpose.
Purpose is not simply what you do, It is the deeper intention behind how you lead, serve, create, and impact others.
As leaders, coaches, entrepreneurs, and influencers, our ability to remain grounded in purpose directly affects how we show up for our teams, organizations, families, and communities.
In today’s rapidly changing world, creativity, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and intentional leadership are no longer optional — they are essential.
So let me ask you:
-What energizes you?
-What impact are you here to make?
-How are you showing up when challenges arise?
-What kind of environment are you creating for others?
-What legacy are you building through your everyday interactions?
Gay Hendricks once wrote;
There is a palpable shift in energy when we become clear about our purpose.
Perhaps that is the real work of leadership: not perfection… but awareness. Not constant certainty… but intentional realignment.
According to The Leadership Coaching Lab, clarifying purpose often begins with reflective inquiry:
• What are you most passionate about?
• When do you feel most “in flow”?
• What strengths do others consistently appreciate in you?
• What problem are you uniquely equipped to help solve?
• How do you want people to remember you?
These are not just coaching questions. They are leadership questions.
Weekend Reflection | Call to Action
*This weekend, create space to intentionally reconnect with your purpose before Monday arrives.
Your assignment:
*Complete the statement below and bring it back with you into the new week:
I am the ____________________ (metaphor)
so that people ____________________. (impact statement)
Example: I am the bridge that helps people move from self-doubt to self-belief.
Be creative... Be bold... Be honest...
Your purpose statement does not need to impress anyone else. It simply needs to remind you why your leadership matters.
Then ask yourself:
How would I lead differently if I fully believed this?
What conversations need more humanity, empathy, and curiosity?
Where can I create more inclusion, dignity, and belonging?
What would purposeful leadership look like on Monday morning?
As you move through this weekend, remember:
Purpose is not about status, title, politics, background, or perfection. Purpose is about contribution. It is about how we choose to show up for one another in moments that matter.
“All successful people are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.”— Brian Tracy
Be intentional... Encourage someone else... Create space for meaningful dialogue...
Lead with humanity.
*When purpose leads the way, even uncertain seasons can become meaningful journeys.
You got this!
