Wednesday Wisdom | Faith in What Matters

What if having faith means trusting yourself enough to make room for what truly matters?

Good Morning,

When did being busy become a measure of our worth?

We say:

-“I’m too busy.”

-“I don’t have time.”

-“I’ll get to it when things slow down.”

But, what if the real coaching question isn’t How can I fit more into my schedule?

What if it’s: What deserves more of my time, energy, attention—and faith?

Busyness can create the illusion of progress. Yet being constantly occupied does not necessarily mean we are being intentional, effective, or fulfilled.

From a coaching perspective, this is an opportunity to pause and evoke awareness:

  • Are your commitments aligned with your values?

  • Where might you be operating from obligation rather than choice?

  • What are you saying “yes” to that may be crowding out what matters most?

  • What would become possible if you trusted yourself enough to create space?

This week, try a different approach.

Before adding another task to your calendar, pause. Ask yourself:

  1. Does this deserve my time—or simply have my attention?

Then..

2. Identify one thing that matters to you that you have been postponing. It doesn’t have to be big.

  1. Create the space... Make the choice... Take the next intentional step.

That is not simply time management. That is self-leadership. And perhaps this is where FAITH enters the conversation:

  • Faith that you don’t have to do everything.

  • Faith that your worth isn’t measured by your productivity.

  • Faith that making room for what matters is not falling behind—it may be moving forward.

Reflection or your next team conversation:

  1. What are we busy maintaining that may no longer be serving our purpose?

  2. What deserves more intentional attention right now?

  3. What would we make possible if we stopped equating busyness with effectiveness?

  4. What is one choice we can make this week that reflects what we say matters most?

As leaders, professionals, and human beings, we don’t need fuller calendars—we need greater clarity about what belongs on them.

Your reminder for today:

You don’t have to chase everything that demands your attention. Have faith enough to make room for what deserves your life.

You got this!
