Wednesday Wisdom: Choose Change
“I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.” — Angela Davis
As we step into a new month, this quote invites us to reflect on one of the most powerful leadership competencies: intentional change.
As coaches, we often hear leaders, professionals, and teams describe challenges they have been carrying for months—or even years. Yet awareness alone does not create transformation. Change begins when we move from frustration to ownership, from complaint to action.
Consider these questions:
What have you been tolerating that no longer aligns with your values, vision, or goals?
Where have you been waiting for circumstances to change instead of influencing what is within your control?
What conversation, decision, or commitment could move you one step closer to the future you want to create?
Research continues to show that successful change begins when people feel empowered to contribute, learn, adapt, and take meaningful action—even amid uncertainty. Great leaders don’t wait for perfect conditions; they cultivate the courage to move forward with purpose. (Psychology Today)
As we begin this new month, I invite you to honor yourself by identifying one thing you can influence today and taking a meaningful step toward it.
Your future is not built by what you tolerate—it is shaped by what you choose to change.
What is one change you’re committed to making this month? Share below or discuss it with your team.
When the path feels uncertain, let your purpose be stronger than your circumstances.
You got this!
