Freedom Friday: Don’t Miss Your Shot

How do these words resonate with you today?
Pause for a moment.
Step away from the noise. Step away from the notifications. Step away from the pressure to constantly perform.
-Take a deep breath in…
-Exhale slowly…
-Again…
=Breathe in possibility...
-Exhale limitation.
-One more time…
Ground yourself in the present moment.
As leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and change agents, we spend so much time responding to urgency that we rarely create intentional space to reconnect with purpose.
This season often symbolizes transition and opportunity — graduations, promotions, new beginnings, expanded responsibilities, evolving visions, and fresh possibilities.
Yet at the same time, many are navigating uncertainty, economic strain, leadership fatigue, organizational change, and emotional exhaustion in an increasingly complex world.
So the question becomes:
How do you remain motivated, intentional, and future-focused when circumstances feel heavy?
From a coaching perspective, growth begins when we move from passive waiting to purposeful action.
The quote above reminds us that leadership is not simply about reacting to circumstances — it is about consciously creating impact, meaning, and momentum despite them.
Consider reflecting on the following questions personally and with your teams:
• What expectations have you outgrown?
• Where are you still waiting for permission instead of taking aligned action?
• What bold opportunity are you being called to pursue?
• What fears, assumptions, or limiting narratives are preventing you from taking your shot?
• How do you want your leadership and legacy to be remembered years from now?
• What intentional actions today align with the future you say you want?
As coaches and leaders, we know awareness is powerful — but awareness without action creates stagnation.
Michael Jordan once said:
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
What shot are you refusing to miss this season?
Honor your voice... Share your gifts... Lead courageously... Create intentionally... - And give others permission to do the same.
The world does not need more people shrinking to fit the moment. It needs leaders willing to rise beyond it.
Freedom begins the moment you stop waiting and start becoming.
