Wednesday’s Wisdom | The Leadership Currency of Charisma

As leaders, influencers, and change agents navigating complex, politically charged environments and the heaviness winter months can sometimes bring, one leadership competency continues to differentiate those who merely manage from those who truly inspire: Charisma.

From a coaching perspective, charisma is not about personality theatrics or extroversion. It is about intentional presence, authentic connection, and values-driven influence.

Studies also highlight that charisma is contagious — meaning your level of confidence, optimism, and authenticity often sets the emotional tone for your teams and stakeholders.

In times of uncertainty, people do not just seek direction — they seek connection and reassurance.

Leaders who demonstrate grounded confidence, curiosity, and empathy cultivate environments where innovation, resilience, and belonging thrive.
