Thursday’s Thoughts: Honoring Resilience and Leading with Intention
“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
—Former President Barack Obama
Take a moment to reflect:
How do these words land with you today?
What small acts of kindness or service have you witnessed or offered recently?
Let’s pause, breathe, and center ourselves:
Inhale deeply… exhale fully…
Inhale… exhale…
Allow yourself to be fully present here...
Consider these questions:
Where were you on September 11th, and how did that day shape your perspective on freedom and resilience?
In what ways have your freedoms—and your leadership—been challenged or transformed since?
How can you, as a leader or influencer, model presence, courage, and connection in today’s complex environment?
My reflections on #FREEDOM this Thursday:
Don’t be a slave to fear—choose curiosity and compassion instead.
• Take intentional time to explore what lies beneath the surface in your relationships and interactions.
• Be fully present—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally—with your teams and stakeholders.
• Deepen your connections; meaningful relationships are the foundation of effective leadership.
As Sandy Dahl, wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl, reminded us,
“If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”
In this moment of reflection, I invite you to:
Share your unique gifts authentically.
Align your actions with your core values and purpose.
Lead with courage, especially when the environment feels uncertain or charged.
What intentional action can you take today to inspire hope and unity within your circles?
Remember, leadership is not just about direction—it’s about presence, empathy, and the courage to be vulnerable.
You have everything you need to rise and lead with impact.
Keep showing up. Keep leading with heart. The world needs your light now more than ever.
You got this!
With belief in your strength,
Coach Tavia, PCC, MSEd
